Luck of the Irish

St. Patrick’s Day really crept up on us there, didn’t it?

Luckily, we live in the melting pot of Los Angeles, with nearly every nationality under the sun represented, so of course we’re ready and excited to let the Irish flag fly with all of the force of green-colored beer and whiskey shots behind it.

We’ll be working the day away and celebrating towards the eve, but Time Out LA has your necessary round-up of where to be.

Some highlights:

Tam O’Shanter: for eastsiders looking to get the party started early, festivities here start at 11AM. Complete with pints of green beer and live music, and what we’re sure will be a lively crowd.

Casey’s St. Patrick’s Day Street Festival: working our way back west now, this downtown bash takes over the street at 6AM, with the party starting around 11:30. DJs will be spinning tunes, pizza will be provided, and of course the mandatory alcoholic beverages to make it a true St. Patty’s Day.

Tom Bergin’s: you might find us at the closest-to-local option here on the westside, at Tom Bergin’s on Fairfax. St. Patrick’s Day is a legendary time at this pub which is heralded far and wide for its Irish coffee. Party goes from 6AM to 2AM, so revel in the madness before, during, or even after your 9-5.
