Tony Benna wrapped up principal photography on his first short film last month, and here’s the teaser to tell the tale.
In short, “Rocket is a movie about those definitive moments in life that change you forever.” The film exceeded its fundraising goal last year to tell the tale of a dying old man, a hospice caretaker, and her 11 year old son, who are forced to go on an impromptu road trip; tensions rise as our elderly protagonist tells the story of a rocket he painted for Evel Knievel’s Snake River Canyon jump.
Executive produced by Detour, Rocket marks Tony’s first short film, though he’s no stranger to telling meaningful stories on film. His branded work for the likes of Gap, Dove, Pepsi, and Oscar Mayer have earned the director praise, not to mention his stop-motion work for SoBe, DKNY, and Method among others under his alter-ego Jackie Paper.
Watch the teaser for Rocket above and stay tuned for updates on when and where you can see Tony’s debut film.
